Mike’s career began in the RAF flying fast jets, followed by time as an airline pilot in the UK, flying the Boeing 757 and 767. He spent 8 years with the UK Civil Aviation Authority engaged in ops and training oversight, and then joined Airbus in Toulouse, heading the Training Development team. During this time, he began to lead the EBT project starting in 2007. Between 2009-2011 worked for Mechtronix, now part of TRU Simulation. The company supported the work Mike was undertaking for 2 years, after which he returned to Airbus as a Senior Director of Flight Training. Mike is now President of the EBT Foundation, and in addition continues to support the implementation of EBT worldwide, with regulators and airlines in North America, Europe, Asia and Australasia.
